Work with ICTRep
We are always on the lookout for talented actors and creatives interested in helping us produce amazing and memorable theatrical experiences for our audiences. We hold auditions from time to time in order to open doors for local individuals who are new to the Wichita theater scene (and who have not worked with ICTRep in the past).
When we hold auditions, notices will be posted here and our Facebook page (www.Facebook.com/ICTRep). We will also share these posts on the Wichita Theatre Page on Facebook.
You don’t need to wait for auditions to get involved, however. Interested actors and creatives are welcome to send us resumes, self-tape auditions, and design portfolios at any time by emailing our artistic director at julie@ictrep.org.
If you have been employed by ICTRep in the past, you do NOT need to sign up when we hold auditions, as your resume remains on file.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who can audition or apply to design/manage a show?
ICTRep auditions are open to all theater practitioners over the age of 18. Preference is generally given to actors who have had considerable and varied experience onstage.
Am I auditioning for a specific show or role?
No, you are auditioning to be considered for any show or role. In fact, the shows we produce are chosen, in part, based our ability to bring together the constellation of talent necessary to produce the show successfully. Even if you are not cast in a currently announced production, your audition may help determine the shows that appear in future ICTRep seasons.
What do I bring to my audition?
- Actors should bring a resume and headshot. They will present two prepared monologues, one serious and one comic, not to exceed 6 minutes total time. (Monologues may be from classical OR contemporary plays; do not write your own monologue.) Actors may be asked to cold-read an excerpt from a script.
- Designers should bring samples of their work in portfolio form and be prepared to talk about their training, experience and past designs.
- Managers and technicians should bring a standard resume of their education/training and recent credits.
